You gotta see today’s video.
Doesn’t matter if you produce raw milk or just drink it, you’ll be inspired.
Mark McAfee has been a raw dairy farmer for 20 years and is first and foremost a humanitarian. That clearly shines through in this conversation we had this past spring where we were both speaking at a conference.
Raw Milk Institute + Champoeg Creamery
After building the world’s largest raw milk dairy he went on to be the founder of the Raw Milk Institute, an organization that provides national standards for safe raw milk production.
I met him 4 years ago when my dairy became the first one to be “Listed” by the Raw Milk Institute and he’s the best teacher of raw milk I know.
This is one of the most inspirational and powerful interviews I’ve seen — Mark has been a good friend and mentor over the years and has broad and brilliant perspectives on health that he shares here.
One thing that applies universally to farmers or really, any business selling a product, is you must be truly connected to your consumers and really care that their outcomes are good. Watch the video below for more wisdom and inspiration:
Pricing Raw Milk
One of my favorite quotes from Mark in our price discussion:
“When enough people recognize that the glass of kefir they drank this morning cures Crohn’s and they won’t have that $100,000 bill for a colostomy bag, and when people realize it improves and cures allergies, eczema, asthma, improves bone density and you name it, it improves it health wise – then we realize raw milk is priceless.”
This little interview will give you a ton of insight in what I do here on the farm, the impact it has across the nation, and how you fit into all of this as a consumer.
Thank you for your continuous support of our farm. I so enjoy meeting new faces and connecting with you – some of you have been with us the whole 7 years we’ve been farming and drank the milk from our very first cow!!
